Summer Reflection

A Little Summer Reflection and a Look at What’s Coming

I’m writing this one from somewhere a bit different, taking a bit of well-earned summer downtime with the family. But even with my feet up, I can’t help thinking back over the last few months and forward to everything that’s on the horizon for R D Upholstery.

Looking Back

It’s hard to believe it’s been three years since R D Upholstery first opened its doors. What started as one person with a passion for reupholstery has grown into a business that’s genuinely finding its stride, taking on more reupholstery projects, more bespoke pieces and more repairs than I ever imagined when I first started out.

This year alone has brought some real milestones. We’ve been busy developing a brand new product range and service packages and (as regular readers will know) we’ve also secured a wonderful new workshop in Blunts, near Callington ready for a move in September. Bigger, brighter, and with proper customer parking. It’s been a lot of work behind the scenes, but every bit of it has been worth it.

A Moment to Breathe

Running a small business means it’s easy to always be looking at the next job, the next deadline, the next thing to organise. So this summer, I’m taking a moment to properly switch off with family and honestly, it’s given me a bit of perspective on just how far things have come, and how excited I am for what’s next.

What’s Coming

There’s a lot to look forward to as we head into autumn:
• The new product range and packages — coming together nicely, with more details to share soon.
• The move to Blunts — set for 7th September, bringing more space and a better experience for customers.
• New projects — as always, ready to take on more reupholstery, bespoke work and repairs from the new workshop.

It feels like R D Upholstery is heading into an exciting new chapter and I can’t wait to share it with you all as it unfolds.
For now though, back to the family, the sunshine and a well-deserved break. Normal service (and plenty of news) resumes soon!
