Exciting News: We’re Moving to a New Home!
If you read my last post, you’ll know R D Upholstery has been growing steadily since I opened the doors in June 2023 and growth means it’s time for some big news. I am moving to a new workshop!
I started out in a workshop at home which suited me and my family perfectly. The 'cabin' in the garden has served me and my customers very well, but the plan was always to move on at some point. As my family move on to a new chapter, so too will my business.
Where?
The new premises is in Blunts, Cornwall, just a short distance from Callington. It’s a lovely, bright and airy space, bigger than the current workshop, giving me more room to work on your furniture and take on even more projects.
And for anyone popping by to drop off a piece or to see me in person, there’s plenty of parking making visits that little bit easier.
When?
Whilst I enjoy some time over the summer with my family, the aim is to be fully moved in and set up, ready to work from the new space from the 7th of September. The summer will undoubtably fly past and I will soon be loading vans and calling on friends and family to help with the move, but I couldn’t be happier about it.
What this Means for You
A bigger, brighter workshop means I can work more comfortably and efficiently on bespoke pieces. Take on more reupholstery and repair jobs and generally give every project the space it deserves. It’s all part of the same journey mentioned in the last post. Growing R D Upholstery into a business that can do even more for it’s customers.
I will share more details as the move gets closer, including the new address. In the meantime, thank you for sticking with me on this journey - the best is yet to come!
