We’re In! First Day at the New Workshop

Well, it’s official, R D Upholstery has landed in Blunts! After a busy weekend spent loading up tools, equipment and everything in between, today was our very first day working from the new space and what a moment it’s been.

Moving Day (Weekend Edition)

If you’ve ever moved house, you’ll know the feeling of boxes everywhere, wondering where on earth everything is going to fit and that slight sense of chaos before it all comes together. Moving a whole upholstery workshop is no different! Over the weekend, every tool, machine and roll of fabric made its way from the old workshop to the new one in Blunts, between Callington and Saltash.

Settling In

Walking into the new space this morning for the first proper day of work was a brilliant feeling. It’s bigger, brighter and already feels like it’s got so much more potential than the old spot plus, customers that arrange a visit now have the added bonus of on-site parking, which should make life a little easier all round.

There’s still a bit of settling in to do, finding the perfect spot for everything and getting into the swing of a new layout, but it already feels like home.

What This Means Going Forward

This new workshop isn’t just about more space, it’s about being able to take on more work, do it more comfortably and keep growing R D Upholstery the way we’ve always hoped to. Bespoke pieces, reupholstery projects and repairs will all benefit from having a proper, spacious environment to work in.

Thank you to everyone who’s supported the business to get to this point — this move has been a long time coming and it feels brilliant to finally be here. Here’s to a fresh start in Blunts!

P.s. Visits should be arranged in advance by appointment. This will save a wasted journey in case I am already with a customer or out on appointments.
